The MAAC Project envisioned this 71,000 S.F. newly renovated facility to provide adequate social services including social counseling, job training, education & a child daycare facility to address the immediate needs of the surrounding community. The centerpiece is an alternative school for high school students. The main interior space features a unique curved glass wall in the multi-purpose room used for formal and informal gatherings. The architectural design incorporates “sun harvesting” systems for natural lighting of interior spaces and an innovative passive roof mounted system, which captures natural light to supplement the building lighting requirements.
